The Butcher's Legend - one ounce
Butchery is one of the worlds oldest professions. Throughout history the skill of a butcher to use every part of an animal in the safest way possible was the thing legends were made of. Even before North Dakota became a state, over 300,000 head of cattle roamed our prairies and the art of butchering them was a needed trade. Over time, a good butcher would also learn to season his cuts to perfection for better sales and happier customers. Legendary butchers were the ones with the most coveted recipes.
At gardendwellers FARM we've always been involved in butchering our own animals. Whether wild game like venison or home raised beef or chicken, if we raised it or shot it, we butchered it! We felt it was an honor to the animal and to our North Dakota past to ply the trade of butchering with our own hands. As an herb farm, it only makes sense that we too would have our own favorite seasoning for meat.
So here we are, sharing our BEST meat blend with you that we've aptly named the Butcher's Legend. We're sure you'll find it allows you to 'Be Legendary' too!
Butchers Legend: For use with all red meats, wild game, and Pork. Use 1 T with one pound of ground, use as a dry rub, or mix 1 T with ½ cup of oil for marinade.
Ingredients: Thyme, Oregano, Genovese Basil, Rosemary, Sage, Winter Savory, Chives, sea salt, black pepper
